Highland Wind Farm is a $250 million proposed wind project for the Town of Forest in St. Croix County, Wisconsin. It will generate 102.5 megawatts of electricity from 41 turbines.
An electric substation is required to be constructed in the Town of Cylon. Developer Highland Wind Farm, LLC (EEW Service, LLC manager) are the project developers.
“This is an opportunity to generate more ‘green’ energy as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars in land-use payments for landowners and communities,” said Jay Mundinger, Highland Wind Farm spokesman. “One of our commitments moving forward is to increase our efforts to explain the incredible benefits this project represents to Wisconsin, St. Croix County and the Towns of Forest and Cylon.”
